Hi! 👋 My name is Keia Ortiz and my story is like so many other women out there. Spent my whole life waiting to be a mom only to find that it was much more than I had imagine. How can one be filled with so much joy but also with self doubt and confusion? I had no idea what to realistically expect nor did I comprehend the mental, emotional and physical toil of becoming a mom could have on me. I literally lost my mind…several times. Depression and suicidal ideations consumed me. Anger, fear, worry and feeling not good enough plagued my mind. It was keeping me from being the mother I wanted to be.
By the grace of God, community and thirst for knowledge on all that happens along the journey of motherhood, I have found my way back. It is my personal mission to shed light on the everyday needs to bring a sound mind to motherhood.
Mom of 4, military wife, psychology student (Graduation 2025), homeschool teacher, prayer warrior and mental health coach, I have a wide perspective on a variety of subject matters. However, I have found that the best way to experience motherhood is with support and practical solutions that works. How do I know? Because it has and is working for me and so many other woman like me.
Truly, how we see motherhood will shape how we experience motherhood. How we will experience our children. Just like how we view Mondays will shape how we experience the rest of our week.
We are a family of six - Keia, John and our four children, Adonaih, Jelani, Levi, and Ava-Rain. We love to learn, play sports, and go on adventures together.
At Mommy Mondays, we believe in the power of God, family and the importance of creating lasting memories. We strive to live our lives with authenticity, kindness, and gratitude.
